Another request from a couple students, this time a pattern for picking jigs on Irish bouzouki. I’m using GDAD tuning the video, but the pattern focuses on the DAD courses, so you could use the same approach for ADAD or three course DAD tuned bouzoukis.

Using the DAD courses of an Irish bouzouki, this picking pattern uses the basic DUD DUD jig pattern. But, the second (and fourth) down stroke is more a tap that bounces off the low D course, shortening the downward motion. From there, you can choose to use fewer full strums and more individually picking the higher A and D courses.
